Too Warm for March

So, it's been in the news, and we were talking about it today.

The weather right now, though beautiful and such, is pretty fucked up.

No, it really has been gloriously wonderful the past few weeks. Warm, sunny, everything that a spring day should be and feel.

Or, rather, a late spring day feels like. The national weather people, who are supposed to know things like this because they spend much of their adult life wrapped up in weather things, say that this month's weather is unusual, and the temperatures are that of a late April or May, not March.

Hence, weather, though lovely and tempting, is fucked up.

We may even end up with early cheery blossoms, Ms. Noguchi said as she, Asami the librarian, and I sipped tea and looked at books about Kyoto.

Speaking of which, I want to go to a hanami with them... if I can.

hanami: Literally 'flower viewing', it's typically a drinking party held outside, underneather the blossoming, falling cheery blossoms, complete with lunch and maybe even a karaoke machine. It's also typically a great time to get your ass drunk, but the Japanese, however uptight they may appear, practically use any reason to tempt alcohol poisoning. Maybe it's because they're so uptight? ... It's been a while since I did one of these, huh?

In any case, there you go. Now, if only it really was warm enough for me to go swimming in the school pool before the next Wednesday. I really do miss swimming. (It's also the only exercise I would ever jump at doing... I think.)
